It is a tradition at Sprague School for the second graders to teach the kindergarten students how to jump using the long rope. Last Tuesday was the first of two dates that our second grade friends joined us to share their expertise.
We celebrated the 100th day of school at the Sprague 100 Lap Speedway. Students worked in teams to circle the track on scooters. They tallied their laps on whiteboards and then we added the teams' totals together. Congratulations to the fallowing classes who reached the 100 lap goal: Mrs. Binder, Ms. Mastores, Miss Niziolek and Miss Spurrier!!! Mrs. Zibell's class did 99 laps and Dr. Delli's class had 96 laps for a close race. Full day kindergarten students will begin learning yoga poses next week. Once we know the poses, we will select some characters and a setting and begin writing our yoga stories. More on that later!
First grade students and their parents came back to school last night to participate in LAMP Night. Participants rotated between library, art, music and physical education classes. What fun we had in the gym! First and second grade students participated in team building stations the first week back from winter break. |
